Is my pet too old to be trained?
No, no dog is too old to be trained and the sooner you could start building those good habits and instilling a sense of discipline in your dog, the better. Some of these older dogs may more stubborn then others when it comes to changing behavioral patterns. For these, we offer behavioral rehabilitation, both, drop off and in home.
What is your approach to pet training?
People try to humanize something that isn't human. Dogs have a way of communicating that is instinctive to them. Most times, the problem isn't the dog, its the lack of establishment in hierarchy and communication between the animal and the owner. I focus on getting the dog to understand what the common cues, such as "sit" with a finger pointed down, mean and how they should behave in a pack, both with other dogs and humans.
